I know, I know. I promised no more portrait shots but how else would this shot have been taken? The lamp is somehow telling of the transitory state of my life. First, it’s on the floor because it has no bedside table for it. Getting a bedside table requires monetary and time (and perhaps even emotional) investment neither of which I can afford right now. Second, the shade is crooked–I was almost tempted to pick a shot where it wasn’t crooked–but life can be imperfect and sometimes it’s better not to try and actively change it but to just go with what you’ve got.
Would anyone like a couch? I went out to throw out the trash today and got surprised by, what seems to be, a fairly still in good condition couch. All it needs is a little bit of cleaning and you’re good to go! I don’t know why they didn’t just bring it over to Goodwill or something. Someone out there may just be yearning for an affordable, worn-down couch. 🙂
After watching Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with my friend we headed to Starbucks to just chill and talk to each other. I randomnly took this photo when I realized how our belongings were just scattered about. Not very exciting, but I thought it would be a nice change from my previous, carefully taken photos.
